Waterloo.Marketing

Who we are, how we work, and the lines we don't cross

Waterloo.Marketing is a Canadian marketing and business consulting service for Waterloo trades and rental-property vendors. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it, and it belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, whose head office is in Vancouver, BC.

Waterloo.Marketing is a small, senior marketing and business consulting service for one kind of client: owner-led trades and home-service businesses that sell to Waterloo households and to the landlords and managers who run its rental housing. We work out where your profitable jobs come from, then plan and run the marketing that brings more of them.

The company

We're part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group with its headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia. Sedighi.ca is the consulting company Ali runs for growth, marketing and technology work, and it sits behind brands such as Trades.Agency, HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Conv.ca and BusinessConsulting.ca. SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is the group's consulting firm for strategy, AI and revenue acceleration.

Our parent brand for trades is Trades.Agency, and our plans follow its published pricing. This site exists because Waterloo has a particular kind of buyer and a particular rental market, and both deserve a strategy written for them rather than a generic national one.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads Waterloo.Marketing. His degree is an MBA in Technology Management. His marketing career began in 2007, when he set up ONE.ir, a full-service digital agency, which gives him more than 17 years in the field. He now lives and works in Vancouver.

Later ventures include MyAutomation.ca and Conv.ca, the latter focused on conversion-rate optimisation, and he serves as Founder and Managing Partner at SAZ.ca. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai, and has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, HVACDeal.ca and BoilerPart.ca. His background is set out in full on Sedighi.ca and on SAZ.ca, if you want to check it.

That background shapes this site in a practical way. A lot of the group's work started in heating and cooling, a trade where a missed call in January is a lost job. The habits that come from that, measuring every call and text, writing pages that answer real questions, setting a cost ceiling before spending, apply to any local trade.

How we work

The method is the same for every client, though the plan never is:

  1. Start with your records. Job addresses, invoices, close rates and the share of work from rental properties. Opinions come after the data.
  2. Choose where to compete. Which services, which wards, which buyers. Saying no to some areas is part of the plan.
  3. Put the cost in writing. A monthly fee, a recommended ad budget if any, and the cost per lead at which we'd stop and rethink.
  4. Build what's missing. Usually some combination of website pages, local search and property-manager outreach.
  5. Report in plain language. Calls, texts, emails, booked jobs and cost per job, monthly, in numbers you can check.

You own everything we build: website, domain, Google Business Profile, ad accounts, tracking data and content. If you leave, it stays with you. We'd rather keep clients because the numbers work than because leaving is painful, and the month-to-month terms on our plans reflect that.

What we are not

We're a marketing and consulting service. We aren't a contractor, so we don't install, repair, clean, paint or maintain anything, and we don't hold licences in your trade. We aren't a lead-reselling platform: your enquiries are yours alone. And we aren't legal advisers. For questions about tenancy law, contracts or regulation, your clients need a lawyer, a licensed paralegal or the relevant tribunal or regulator.

We also don't make claims we can't back up. You won't find invented reviews, promised rankings or borrowed client logos on this site. The results we show are real, named and linked, and they're labelled as results from our HVAC work.

Working with us

Most clients start with a free 30-minute consultation. Bring your rough numbers and your questions; you'll leave with a clearer view of where your next jobs should come from, whether or not you hire us. See pricing for plan costs, or the contact page for how to reach us by call, text or email.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Waterloo.Marketing?

It's part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it.

Is there a Waterloo office?

No. We're a service-area business run from Vancouver, and we don't claim a local address we don't have. The work happens in your search profiles, ad accounts and website, checked against what Waterloo searchers actually see.

Who will I actually deal with?

A senior strategist, from the first conversation onward. Ali Sedighi leads the work; there's no hand-off to a junior sales team.

How is this related to Trades.Agency?

Trades.Agency is the group's main brand for trades marketing, and Waterloo.Marketing applies the same approach to the Waterloo market. Pricing follows the Trades.Agency plans.
